Nikki’s Kinetic K9 Training was created by Nicole (Nikki)
McGrath. Nikki has been training dogs since age 16 when she
began her first apprenticeship at a facility specializing in
protection dogs and police k9s. During her time at that facility
she was in charge of training puppies in obedience before they
went to their forever homes along with caring for the K9s and
assisting with their daily training exercises. After that
apprenticeship ended she wanted to broaden her knowledge
and expertise and apprenticed her second mentor learning how
to rehabilitate dogs with behavioral problems. Along with her dog training background she is also a Clinical Pet Nutritionist. Since age 13 she has studied biologically appropriate nutrition for Canines and Felines due to her childhood dogs Ginger and Gizmo had chronic digestive issues. The vets never got to the root cause so she took matters into her own hands. For the past 13 years she has spent her nights and weekends studying Canine Physiology, the canine lymphatic system and the canine musculoskeletal system. Here at Nikki's Kinetic K9 Training & Nutrition Center we do so much more than train dogs. Nikki gets to the root cause of every problem your dog may have whether it's training related or health related. If your dog suffers with digestive issues, allergies, skin conditions, pancreatitis or even cancer you will get a custom plan tailored to your dogs specific needs. Your dog will be healed from the inside out.
Strengthening the relationship between dogs and their owner is the cornerstone of my success. I coach owners how to become calm, assertive leaders through fair and effective methods of training. Creating confident and educated dog owners creates a relationship between dog and owner that has long term stability and reliability. I work with all breeds and ages.
Meet Koda, the adorable, energetic demo dog who steals the show with his charming personality and boundless enthusiasm. Koda went through dog training with me using the tools taught at Nikki's Kinetic K9 Training, and has been trained by me from the ground up. In doing so, it has given him the foundation needed so that he can be put with any dog safely. Koda's job is to introduce puppies to socialization with other dogs. He allows puppies to be puppies by allowing them to go through their motions and mess with him, he can maintain a calm and gentle composure remaining unfazed. With Reactive dogs Koda is trained to stand by me and not react, he is to remain calm and collected and through that, we can build the other dog's confidence. Koda exudes calmness and is level headed in any environment. He is a safe and reliable companion to be with any dog during training and is able to communicate to them that they are in a safe environment. These are the core characteristics we will instill in any dog that comes through our dog training programs.
